Water releases from the lake have raised concerns over the hazardous nutrients that may result in residential estates and household taps. The bacteria infested nutrients may be derived from septic tanks, stormwater, or fertilizers (Myers 2020). Eventually, algal blooms may be borne out of them, or liver flukes may be carried into the compounds. If these toxic materials find their way into the human system, the results could be devastating.

The impact of poor water quality on the health of Florida’s citizens is vast. Due to the counties assuming that the water may be too much, the water quality received is compromised. High amounts of Lead metals are hazardous, causing imminent damage to both the environment and human health. The need arises to address whether the amount of water being expelled from water reservoirs is safe for consumption.
