My career dream is to become an electrical engineer. It is a profession that I have had a strong passion for right from a tender age, and it has dramatically shaped my academic journey. I enjoy learning new technologies, and I like fixing machines on my own. I developed this habit when I was a young boy. For example, I remember when my parents bought me my first watch when I was nine years old. After wearing it for a week, I started curious to learn how clocks work and their internal components. As a result, I dissembled it in parts without my parents’ knowledge. They only realized it days later. Although the watch was still working, it was not in the same state as before. Although my parents were pleased by my skills, they were also disappointed at the same time. As I grew old, I started fixing most of our household electric devices. At one point, I rebuilt my computer and greatly improved its performance. At this moment, I became conscious of my passion for electrical engineering. My devotion to engineering also makes me enjoy observing Reliable and Maintenance Engineers working at my organization. Therefore, I believe my career dream to become an electrical engineer is not by chance but a calling driven by a strong will and desires that are inborn.

My career goals as an electrical engineer primarily revolve around learning new skills and expanding my network. I understand my field of work is highly shaped by emerging new technologies, software, and trends driven by new users’ tastes and attitudes. In this respect, my objective is to continuously update new designs and building approaches, emerging control systems, and the latest components used in modern machines. I will always be among the pioneers in building, testing, and maintaining current electrical systems by learning new skills. I also aim at establishing a substantial number of new connections every year. I consistently achieve this goal by attending networking events and using communication technologies to connect with other engineers. I believe such an approach will always keep me informed about emerging projects and openings which will positively influence my career growth in the long run.

Nevertheless, I have encountered some obstacles in my educational path and pursuit of my career goals. For instance, I have faced language barriers on numerous occasions. The reason is that English is my second language, but it is often used as the primary language in engineering across the globe. The impediment significantly affects how I express myself when interacting with native English speakers. To overcome this challenge, I have enrolled in numerous online classes meant to improve my command of the English language. Besides, I read novels and watch movies exclusively authored and scripted in this language to enhance my skills for writing and communicating in English. Over time, I have noticed a positive change.

My education path and career goals have hugely been impacted by my hobbies, internship programs, and community service projects I have engaged in and those I intend to participate in in the future. For example, I love fixing household electric devices during my free time. Precisely, I enjoy repairing simple devices such as watches and sound systems and complex ones such as computers and game consoles. I usually enjoy executing related academic projects and formulating new technological ideas with such self-driven behavior. The habit is due to my strong passion for developing and maintaining electrical gadgets. There are even instances when I found myself doing too much work in group projects for course work compared to other members without my knowledge. Therefore, my love of fixing electronic devices as a hoppy supports my academic and career goals.

My academic and career goals are also reflected by internships programs I have enrolled in over time. I usually believe internships provide a viable opportunity to apply course knowledge in a practical setting and gain essential skills such as communication and problem-solving. For instance, I worked as an intern at the Solar Wind Company in the position of electrician assistant. I have also learned a lot by observing Reliable and Maintenance Engineers as they execute their duties at my workplace. I believe it is such knowledge and exposure that I have garnered from such places that enabled me to pass Ramsay’s Maintenance Tech II test. I also applied to become a tech at Amazon’s warehouse, where I am waiting to be contacted for a scheduled interview. In the future, I intend to apply for an internship position in the Amazon Robotics warehouse and the Intel Company located in the city. The skills and knowledge I have gained and which I will gain in the coming internship programs will significantly influence my academic and career path.

Finally, I have a strong desire to participate in community service projects in engineering. I aim to help people lead a good life without necessarily being driven by monetary gains. For instance, I am aware of community programs among engineers from my hometown geared towards advising and empowering girls to increase their enrollment in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). I perceive this to be a noble course, and I remain committed to joining hands with members of such groups.

I am aware that achieving academic goals is a costly dream that requires a lot of funds.
