The site based decisions making model is defined as the process in which there is involvement of decentralization in making decisions. It ensures to achieve goals of improving outcomes in performance and promotion of positive outcomes in schools. The model applies a collaborative need for efforts where teachers and the school management are required to be engaged in making rational decisions that lead to good educational outcomes. The model is developed in a manner that allows for students to achieve more from the educational facilities. Besides, it has been created to ensure inclusivity of stakeholders in making rational decisions. The responsibility of making decisions is provided and based in the school community. Students are needed to play the role of ensuring to influence some policies which are applied to make decisions as they affect them directly. They provide the inputs required for changes and participation in the process. the purpose and the link of the model to students performance and good outcomes is based on the need to ensure that the school management is able to develop processes that lead to efficiency in terms of learning. The policies created when decisions are made affect aspects such as the curriculum, activities, teachers’ attitudes towards teaching a diverse community, and the application of respect to the existing culture of the school. By so doing, the learning outcomes of students is improved. The model has a framework that has teachers, students, parents and school committees. The district level committees are required to ensure that there is evaluation of teachers’ performance. The model misses a leadership style applied to make decisions and guide decision making process. 

The Vroom-Yetton-Jago Decision Making Model

In contrast, the Vroom-Yetton-Jago Decision Making Model is created and developed to ensure that it provides a basis for identifying a rational judgment method whch will be appalled to choose the best leadership style based on a given situation. The model was developed with concerns that there was no one decision model that would be applied in all given issues and challenges. It is appalled in institutions to guide decisions makers in choosing an appropriate decision making model that fits the current issues at hand. It provides codes which are used in given situations that occur in an environment. It was developed because it led to achieving best decisions to be applied in a given situation, to ensure team commitment, and reduce issues of giving ample period to make a decisions that is quality. The elements of the model are such as collaboration, quality of a decisions, and the need for time to make a judgement. 

In terms of the quality element of the model, it is required that all members of the decisions making team are to be engaged in choosing the right option and judgment in a given situation. It ensures to involve application of decentralization as it leads to good quality of the decision. The element of time is required to ensure that the school management is allowed to make quality decisions where more time is required to involve more members and teams to make a decision. Good decisions are made when the situation allows for collaborative decision making process where each member is needed to give input to the issue at hand. The model also allows for leadership styles to be chosen to guide on solving issues at hand. It ensures to apply styles which include, collaborative, consultative, and autocratic. The choice of the leadership style depends on the matter and situation needed to be solved (Lührs et al. 2018).  The model uses a framework that is based on a tree decision making process where the leadership style and followers are allowed to be engaged in a decision making process depending on the current situation. The model lacks decentralization of decision making process. 

Differences between a Framework and Decision Making Model

Decision making models are based on the use of structures that are required to make decisions in an organization. It ensures to involve participation of team members in making decisions. It involves the application of rational and critical thinking so as to develop the best decision needed in a given situation. Also, it allows for time to gather data and information that will be appalled to solve a given issue. The team members ensure to use and apply risk mitigation in the process of making a decisions.
